Scary-etta Ghost Tours

Join Ghosts of Marietta and The Historic Marietta Trolley Company for a 90 minute “spirited” ride aboard the trolley. This tour is truly the best of both worlds, Ghost Stories and a Historic Trolley. Marietta Square Art Walk
October 2

Marietta Square Art Walk is creating an art community of excellence on the historic Marietta Square. Art Walk is a free self-guided tour of the Marietta Square’s eclectic art scene. Galleries, museums, cultural venues, restaurants and boutiques host artists within their businesses from 5pm to 9pm on the first Friday of the month through October, with an Encore Show set in November. Chalktoberfest
October 10-11

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, an exciting combination of their annual Chalk Festival with Marietta’s first Craft Beer Festival. The festival takes place October 10-11, and is free to the public. The Craft Beer Festival takes place on October 10, between 11am – 5pm; tickets can be purchased online. The event will have over 100 different types of craft beers and sponsored, professional artists who will be painting the streets of Marietta. chalktoberfest.com


Harvest Square
Arts & Crafts Festival
October 17

Harvest Square is an annual arts and crafts festival held each October at Glover Park in the historic Marietta Square. In addition to a wide variety of arts and crafts items, the festival includes Halloween Happenings for children. Carnival games and prizes will thrill the little ones. Times are as follows:  Harvest Square Arts and Crafts Festival: 9am – 5pm. Touch-A-Truck: 10am – 4pm. Halloween Happenings: 1pm – 5pm.


5th Annual
Marietta Zombie Walk
October 17

The undead are once again coming together to help the community of the living. Gathering in the center of the Marietta Square, the hoard roams the streets in a not-so-brisk 0.8 mile stumble. Participants are encouraged to bring donations to support MUST Ministries. Last year this family-friendly event drew close to 900 walkers, filling 40 barrels of food and donating almost $3000 to help the living in need. Dr. Root’s Miracle Elixir IPA Launch Party
October 23

Grab some friends and sample the new beer, Dr. Root’s Miracle Elixir IPA, crafted with hops harvested directly from the historic Root House Museum and Garden. Inspired by Marietta’s first apothecary, William Root, this new beer was created in partnership with Schoolhouse Beer and Brewing. The event is from 6-8pm at the William Root House Museum and Garden.
