Brown Bag Concert Series
September 3, 10, 17, 24

Grab your lunch at one of the many great restaurants around the Marietta Square, and meet your friends and co-workers at Glover Park for the Brown Bag Concert Series. Enjoy outdoor fun and free, live music every Thursday during the month of September from 12-1pm.


Marietta StreetFest
September 19-20

The 24th Marietta StreetFest returns to the historic Marietta Square focusing on free fun activities for the entire family featuring arts & crafts vendors, kid’s zone, wheels and music. This year the festival has grown to two days. The car and motorcycle cruise-in and The Grassroots Music Festival showcasing local singer and songwriters will take place on Saturday only. mariettastreetfest.com


Marietta Grassroots
Music Festival
September 20

The Marietta Grassroots Music Festival  is quickly becoming a favorite annual event on the Marietta Square. The festival features bands and singer/songwriters from the metro Atlanta area, each performing original music. From 3-9pm, musicians will play music of varying genres for listeners. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic for a special musical experience. mariettagrassroots.com


Symphony on the Square
September 24

Marietta’s own local orchestra presents a special live concert on The Earl Smith Strand Theatre stage. Look forward to the rich and beautiful sounds of orchestral music and featured soloists Catherine Moulton and Oral Moses. The concert will feature music from Les Miserables, Westside Story, Titanic, and more. Tickets are assigned seating and are avaialable for $20. Limited VIP tickets are available for $25 and include a meet and greet dessert reception with the orchestra members after the performance. Concert begins at 8pm. earlsmithstrand.org


The Strand Turns 80!
September 24-26

This September, The Strand will be celebrating its rich history and 80th birthday in style with events representing each of the three tenets etched in the theatre’s facade: “A monument devoted to the best in music, photoplays, and the theatrical arts.” The three-day celebration includes a performance by the Symphony on the Square Thursday night September 24th, a Patron’s Choice Movie Friday September 25th, and a matinee collection of Silent Film Shorts on September 26th. Be sure not to miss the Classic Vegas Casino Night with Rat Pack tribute show the evening of Saturday September 26th. Join us in celebrating 80 years of the arts on the Marietta Square. earlsmithstrand.org


Glover Park Concert Series: Grapevine
September 25

The 2015 Concert Series concludes this month with oldies and R&B Band, Grapevine. The free concert begins at 8pm. Blankets and lawn chairs are allowed inside of Glover Park. Tables and chairs may be brought and set up in the street on North and East Park Square after 6pm. Join your fellow concert guests and participate in the Table Decoration/Picnic Set-up Contest using the theme of the entertainment as your guide.


Whole Hawg Happenin’ BBQ & Music Fest
September 27

The Whole Hawg Happenin’ BBQ & Music Fest is an annual food and music festival focusing on the great BBQ of the South. The best metro Atlanta area restaurants and caterers will be on hand offering samples of their tasty BBQ and other dishes while a variety of bands will be playing throughout the day.
